Where My Pen Meets Purpose
I’m a physician, and my purpose is helping believers care for their body, soul and spirit, with faith at the centre. Writing is how I share that with people I may never meet.
Each book is written for a particular season: a spirit that gets neglected while you care for everything else, a long illness, or a mind that won’t settle. Start with the one that sounds most like yours.

A Christian’s Balanced Diet
I wrote A Christian’s Balanced Diet to help believers feed their spirit in a way that’s simple and practical. So many Christians carry a quiet pressure about their spiritual health, and I wanted to lift it.
The book uses something you already understand, a balanced diet, to show what a well-fed spiritual life looks like, and gives you a framework that brings clarity, consistency and peace.

A masterpiece that brilliantly draws parallels between the classes of food as we know them, and what they signify in terms of spiritual growth.
Incredibly valuable for Christians who are mindful of development in their spirit, soul and body.

A Christian's Balanced Diet is an inspirational book focusing on both our physical and spiritual health. I loved the reminder of what a balanced diet physically entails.
More importantly, I enjoyed how Blessing Baker, M.D, skillfully related each class of physical food to spiritual activities - prayer, the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, fasting, holiness and thanksgiving.
The workbook reflection and activities are also helpful resources.
I recommend this book to every Christian. I rate it 9/10.

A Christian's balanced diet by Dr. Baker (renowned Medical Doctor and lover of God) beautifully combines biblical wisdom with practical nutrition advice.
This emphasizes that caring for our bodies is an act of stewardship. She uses scripture to highlight the importance of balance and moderation in our eating habits, as well as the significance of feeding our souls and uncovering the signs of spiritual malnutrition.
With insightful reflections and practical meal guidelines, this book is a valuable resource for those seeking to honor God through a healthy lifestyle. It is perfect for anyone looking to strengthen both their faith and well-being. I highly recommend it.

For Christians living with chronic illness
Grace for the Journey
When you’re living with a long illness, finding the words to pray can be hard. Grace for the Journey, the first book in a series, gives you those words: prayers for healing and daily renewal.
It’s a steady encouragement for anyone who needs renewing, one page and one prayer at a time, meeting you where you are.
What readers are saying
“
In this painful journey, one of the things I chose not to do for my mental health was reading Christian books on healing.
I know for a fact that a large percentage of them focus on what you should do, how you need to have faith, how to pray longer, and they are not written with the brokenhearted in mind.
Through God's divine providence, I grudgingly read this book, and my heart was filled with overwhelming gladness. It felt like what I would have written if I were still the same person I was before this sickness changed me. I felt like I wrote it.
The writer understands my life. She understands that I find it difficult to pray, yet surprisingly, I pray every day, even if it's just a repetitive four-line prayer "God, please help me." She understands that I hate my body and I can't look at myself in the mirror without comparing myself to what I used to be. My mind is not the same, and I feel like a different person.
I could not stop myself from crying as I flipped through each page. Every word was my reality. All the prayers were real to me.
This book is a beautiful book. While reading this book I was reminded that God loves me exactly as I am right now, in this broken body, with this tired mind, on every hard day. It didn't demand more from me, it simply held space for my pain and pointed me back to his gentle presence.
I hope that everyone battling a chronic illness gets this book and keeps it near their counter of medicine. Let the prayers be a kind of healing, not the kind of healing that demands you perform or prove your faith, but the kind that meets you in your weakness.

Living with a chronic illness is one of the most difficult challenges a Christian can face.
And as with every other challenge, true comfort comes only when you bring your burdens to God in honest, heartfelt prayer.
If you struggle to find the words, I wholeheartedly recommend Grace for the Journey. This book is a rich collection of devotionals and prayers for different stages and struggles in the chronic illness journey, written with compassion and wisdom.
The prayers are real, vulnerable, and most importantly, anchored in the promises of Scripture.
This book will help you drink from the fountains of God's grace, renewing you with strength, peace, and hope as you lean on the One who deeply cares for you.

For believers facing anxiety, depression or other mental health struggles
Mindgevity
Many Christians carry anxiety or depression quietly, unsure whether getting help means their faith has failed. Mindgevity looks at mental health through Scripture and through medicine, with simple frameworks to help you take the next step toward healing.
There’s a chapter for the church as well, on how to walk alongside people who are struggling.
What readers are saying
“
Mindgevity is a timely and compassionate resource for every believer facing mental health struggles in silence.
This book is anchored in a truth Christians have needed to hear for a long time: God's care extends to the whole person, including the mind.
With wisdom and warmth, Dr. Blessing addresses anxiety, depression, and emotional suffering through the lens of Scripture while thoughtfully engaging insights from modern medicine.
She dismantles the misconception that Christians with mental health struggles shouldn't rely on therapy or medication, and shows that faith and medicine are not adversaries but allies in the journey towards recovery.

The chapter on faith, the church, and mental health is particularly powerful, gently yet firmly calling the church back to its role as a community of holistic healing, the role Christ always intended it to fill.
What's particularly valuable about this book is that it doesn't just provide information about mental health conditions. It also offers simple yet comprehensive frameworks that guide people forward on the path to healing.
Mindgevity is a gift to anyone navigating their own mental health struggles and to anyone walking alongside someone who is. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Why I write
I write because believers deserve resources that meet them where they are and make healing feel possible.
My goal is to write books that give you clarity, courage and practical steps, so you can grow on purpose, one page at a time.
What’s coming next
I’m always working on new books and resources that make caring for your whole self simpler, and that support believers through every season of healing and growth. Each one comes from the same purpose: to help Christians live healthy, walk healed and stay whole.
Not sure which book fits your season? The Check-In can show you where to start.
